Menai Boat Run 2023

The annual excuse to get dive boats out of winter storage and out onto the sea in the company of other dive clubs from Wales and the North West.

As last year, we will launch at Port Dinas (Felinheli), motor down the straights, under the bridges and out around Puffin island then back to Beaumaris for a fish and chip lunch. (Special rate of £9.50 for fish and chips with a free gravy/peas/bottle of water)

We then change the crew on the boat for the return run back up the straits to Porth Dinas in the company of the Beaumaris lifeboat.

We will travel in convoy from Northop leaving about 7:30 (times to be confirmed).  Return to the boat storage in Buckley to wash the boat down and store it later that afternoon.

8 places on the outward leg charged at £10 per head.  Drysuits recommended for this leg as it’s long and in the open sea.

8 places on the return leg Beaumaris to Dinas.  Again drysuits or wetsuits recommended as we are in rough water in the company of many other fast boats.  £5 a head.
