How much does diving cost?
The costs of diving with us can be broken down as follows:

| Golden Lion Membership | £144 | Club membership usually paid in monthly instalments. |
| British Sub Aqua Club (BSAC) Membership | £71 single, £123 family | All club members are required to also be members of BSAC. This cost varies with diver qualifications, but for most members it is £71. |
| Instruction | Free | Instruction is provided free of charge by our team of volunteer instructors. |
| Training Materials | £40.50 | For each course you take you will be required to buy a training pack from BSAC. |
| Equipment | Free during training | Equipment use is free during training, once you have qualified there is a fee to cover maintenance etc, but people are at this stage encouraged to buy their own kit. You will need to buy a dry suit or semi dry suit to protect against the cold. Club members can provide advice on purchasing this item new or second hand. |
While this can seem to add up, travel to the club is the largest expense for most divers.
